What is carnation?
Evergreen sub-shrubs are cultivated as perennial flowers. The petals are widely cultivated because of their borders and fragrant smell (modern carnation has few fragrances). It is generally divided into two categories: domestic carnation and flower shop carnation; as the name of the flower, carnation is the transliteration of the English word Carnation. It is a large-scale planted perennial plant of the Carnation family and the genus Dianthus, which is a kind of rose. It usually blooms with double-petaled flowers, the flowers are diverse and bright, and the smell is aromatic. Carnation is one of the most popular cut flowers, representing health and beauty. It can be used as flower arrangement, corsage, etc.
Flower language of carnations
Most carnations represent love, charm and respect, and red represents love and care. The legend of the pink carnation is that the Virgin Mary shed sad tears when she saw the suffering of Jesus. Carnations grew out of the place where the tears fell. Therefore, pink carnations became a symbol of immortal maternal love. Unlike roses, the love represented by carnations is relatively light and warm, suitable for describing family love, so children often offer carnations to their parents.
